How to Know What Spiritual Gifts You Have
For much of my Christian upbringing, I was under the impression that the only "real" calling from God was a "call to preach" and the most important ability that anyone could have was a God-given "spiritual gift" to stand up in front of a crowd and preach sermons — and the louder and more ad-lib the improve!
But as I have matured in my faith and biblical understanding, I discovered that mentality to not simply be wrong, but actually harmful.
While Scripture clearly places importance on local church building pastors and elders besides every bit spiritual gifts, it also clearly teaches that every laic has all kinds of gifts, abilities, and knowledge that tin and should exist used for his glory and to "build up" the church (Ephesians iv).
